Course Description:
North-west of Brightwell on Sires Hill east of the crest of the hill and 8 yards east of the centre of the entrance to "Fir Tree Nurseries" and opposite a wide entrance with an iron double and a single gate to "P J Lay" Go eastwards down the slope, taking care of traffic entering on the left from the minor road to Little Wittenham, to the slip road junction with A4130 Join the A4130 (Care) and go east to Slade End roundabout. Take the second exit to turn right onto the Wallingford By-pass, still on A4130 Take the second exit to go straight over the Hithercroft roundabout Continue on A4130 to the next roundabout at Winterbrook West and turn right to take the second exit onto the long straight Wallingford Road towards Cholsey Go south-west to the first mini roundabout at the junction with Church Road in Cholsey and turn around it to retrace along Wallingford Road northeastwards. Return to the Winterbrook West roundabout and take the first exit to turn left back onto the A4130 Wallingford By-pass. Go west and take the second exit to continue straight on along A4130 at the Hithercroft roundabout Go north-west to the Slade End roundabout and take the first exit to continue on A4130 towards Didcot Go along the A4130 Brightwell By-pass to finish at a point in line with the road sign for "Cyclists Crossing 300 Yards Ahead" on the opposite side of the road, 166 yards west of the junction with Sires Hill and 205 yards east of and short of the central bollard westernmost entrance road to Brightwell-cum-Sotwell.

ORGANISERS OF EVENTS IN 2016 ARE REQUESTED TO CARRY OUT A TRAFFIC COUNT DURING THEIR EVENT AND SUBMIT TO LWDC TOGETHER WITH THE EVENT RESULTS.
